Ben Ridge > Heather and I went backpacking in the Nelson Lakes National Park, which was even more beautiful than our already high expectations. The tiny spot in between the two lakes here is Mt. Angelus hut, where we stayed the night.
Ben Ridge > This is one of my favorite photos I've had in a while. The water was almost perfectly still when we woke up, compared to a strong steady wind that was blowing the day before.
Ben Ridge > Sometimes the mountains looked almost exactly like the mountains in Southwest Colorado.

Ben Ridge > On the edge, it's a steep, long way down behind me!
Ben Ridge > I've been able to rig my backpack so that I can have quick access to my camera with the telephoto lens, so that I can get faraway shots I wouldn't otherwise be able to get. I still keep my small camera on my side for photos of close things. Not the lightest setup, but I dig it.
