Ben Ridge > I really like how this shot turned out. Heather was inside the tent lighting it up with her headlamp, and I had placed my headlamp beside the creek. 15 seconds later, this is how the shot ended up.
Ben Ridge > The reunion with Bella was everything I had hoped and more. She's just as smart (and mischevious) but is content to just hang out when we are just sitting around the house. That's a pretty big change from h previous bottomless energy level. It only took almost 4 years.
Ben Ridge > A view of the night sky in the southern hemisphere. The famous Southern Cross" constellation is in the upper left corner of the photo, pointing to the upper right, which is due south. Alpha Centauris and Beta Centauris are the pointer stars that point to the cross; they are the two bright ones located in the middle of the photo. Lots of other constellations were out that night, as well as a faint glimpse of the McNaught comet.

Ben Ridge > Another view of the deluxe camp spot beside the picturesque creek.
Ben Ridge > This camp site rocked. My Canon SLR did some nice work of making the creek look creamy. Luckily no flash floods came and knocked our tent away.
Ben Ridge > OK one last shot of the campsite during the day. Can you tell I really liked this spot?
Ben Ridge > Here's our first campsite, just beside Taylor Lake (not visible) and the Colorado Trail that climbs up the ridge. Great camping spot.
Ben Ridge > Here's my parents VW Touareg, with accompanying tent.
