Ben Ridge > Bella was getting her first taste of ocean saltwater on this trip since living in Australia. Nothing like playing catch in the waves to wear her out. I dug the reflection in this photo.

I was bummed that this didn't come out very sharp, due to the low light on the trail, but oh well.

Ben Ridge > The two mile hike up to the lighthouse was great. Tons of vegetation and old growth trees, and quite a bit of wildlife, including not 1, not 2, but 6 snakes at different points along the trail. They were all garter snakes, but that didn't keep Heather from jumping every time we saw one, and keeping me from trying to get a photo of one. This is the best I got. We renamed the trail "el sendero de seis serpientes."

Ben Ridge > There is a frog in this photo. Can you see it? They were all over the trail we were hiking on, but could never be seen unless we happened to see where they landed.
The frog is in the lower right section of the photo.
