Colombia Honeymoon, part 2 - Ben Ridge's Photo Journal

So much to show on the second half of our honeymoon that it deserves its own gallery.
We visit the Amazon River and Rainforest, the Coffee Region of Colombia, and the Flower Festival in Medellin.

Ben Ridge > After flight to the Amazon River region, we hop on a boat thats taking us to an amazonian guesthouse.

Ben Ridge > On the way there, we spotted a few of the elusive pink and gray (fresh water) dolphins of the amazon. Look closely and you can see the back of one of the pink ones.

Ben Ridge > Anybody figure out what we came across while going along the river? See the next pic.

Ben Ridge > Yep, thats right, a pretty massive, and definitely dead cayman crocodile. Apparently it was caught, killed, and tossed into the river. The teeth are pretty valuable, so its a mystery why someone tossed it.

Ben Ridge > Here´s the vew from the boathouse of the Lake Marasha guesthouse, where we stayed for 2 nights. A pretty comfy place with awesome views, and quite a bit of wildlife.

Ben Ridge > A little too comfy for some. Thats a book under her head.

Ben Ridge > Its not a jungle myth, monkeys do love bananas.

Ben Ridge > Views from lake Marasha, a short hike from the Amazon River.
