With fond memories of Mike Mcaffrey and I hiking Longs Peak back in 2002, we revisited the same campsite and path that we had taken back then. This time there were 5 of us, and the weather was even better than last time. We all made it up and down safe and sound, although very sore for the days afterward.
Here we are almost at the base of the scree scramble. It takes about 3 miles to hike to here, and then it's a steep steep 1 mile scramble up loose scree of varying sizes to get to the top.
